Event Information
Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, Pals, Friends of Hospice and Bermuda Hospitals Board present:
100 Seconds of Silence...
... in memory of the 100 people Bermuda lost to cancer in 2014.
When: February 4th @ 12noon
Where: Wherever you are at 12noon on February 4th!
What do you do? All we ask is that you stop what you are doing and sit/stand in silence for 100 seconds in memory of the 100 people who were lost to cancer in 2014. 1 second for every person who was lost...
More info: The town crier will announce the start and end of the 100 seconds at City Hall - there will also be people all over Hamilton with signs reminding people that this is what we are doing.
Why: This World Cancer Day we want to give YOU the power to take action against cancer and to, individually, reduce the global burden of cancer. This will bring awareness to the number of people we actually lose to cancer in Bermuda... and the number is staggering.
