More Information
Women 38-42yrs are invited to visit with our highly experienced team of technologist and tour our Diagnostic Imaging Department to view what happens during a mammography exam.
- Mammography machines in motion – view the machines in motion and experience the compression with your hand (no x-rays/mammograms will be taken).
- Self-Breast Exams – do you know what you are looking for, using model breasts see if you can find the lump?
- Ask Questions:
- At what age should I have my first mammogram and do I need one every year?
- Can I reduce my risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer?
- Screening vs. Diagnostic (Routine yearly check-up vs. investigative mammogram for symptoms)
- What are the misconceptions about radiation exposure?
