As the leading provider of breast imaging, accredited by the Canadian Association of Radiologists Mammography Accreditation Programme (CAR-MAP), we are thrilled to announce our team of technologists has successfully completed a comprehensive refresher course in Mammography Positioning Training. This training, conducted by Mammography Educators, has equipped our technologists with the latest techniques and methodologies to enhance precision and patient care.
During the training, our technologists had the privilege of learning The Miller Method™ for breast positioning in mammography. Developed by Louise C. Miller, a highly respected mammography educator and consultant to over 300 Breast Centers worldwide, this method is based on a deep understanding of patient and breast anatomy, as well as the principles of solid body ergonomics.
The Miller Method™ strongly emphasises proficient mammography positioning techniques, resulting in improved accuracy, reduced positioning errors, and enhanced diagnostic quality. By maintaining proper body ergonomics, our technologists also ensure longevity in their careers while minimising the risk of injuries. This commitment to ergonomic practices not only benefits our dedicated technologists but also leads to an overall improved experience for our valued patients.
"We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our patients," said Rona Donawa, Chief Technologist at the Centre. "By investing in the professional development of our team and adopting The Miller Method™, we aim to elevate the level of care we deliver and reinforce our commitment to patient satisfaction and well-being."
Completing this advanced training marks a significant milestone for our team, further solidifying their expertise in mammography positioning and reinforcing their commitment to excellence. The knowledge and skills acquired during the Mammography Positioning Training will enhance our technologists' ability to provide accurate and precise screenings, ensuring early detection and improved outcomes for our patients.
The Centre sincerely thanks Mammography Educators for their invaluable guidance and support throughout the training process. Their expertise and dedication to advancing the field of mammography have greatly contributed to the success of our technologists and, ultimately, the quality of care we provide to our patients.
