On June 24 approx. 120 Somersfield M1-5 studends will be spending their community day promoting our SunSmart message in the City of Hamilton!
A group of 14 youngsters and adults at Somersfield will be shaving their heads in support of the St Baldrick’s Foundation who raises funds for childhood cancer research.
More than $15,000 has been pledged for the shaving so far.
Locally The St. Baldricks Foundation sponsors our SunSmart programme enabling us to promote sun safe behaviours in the majority of schools on Island as well as our SunSmart Accreditation programme which aims to teach camps the importance of sun safety when caring for our children.
The event is part of Somersfield’s Community and Service Day and among the schedule of activities for the day approx. 120 M1-5 students will be heading to Hamilton to promote our Centre's SunSmart message by handing out UV bracelets and sunscreen.
