Like any cancer, breast cancer is a complex disease, and there is no sure way to protect yourself. But Mehmet Oz, MD, a leading cardiac surgeon and host of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning The Dr. Oz Show, says there are many things you can do to move the odds in your favor. “I’m pretty convinced that a fair amount of breast cancer is related to environmental risk,” says Dr. Oz. “In countries like Japan, breast cancer is dramatically lower than in this country.
