February 2014, I was the youngest person in Bermuda to be diagnosed with colon cancer at 37.
Instead of feeling ashamed, I shared my journey through social media. I had an announcement party, a Facebook announcement, took fun weekly pictures with my radiation team and even organized a fund raiser for someone else fighting cancer, just to name a few.
People kept asking me “What was I going to do with all of the information, posts and pictures that I had shared?” The result is my book called Dear Cancer, Let Me Introduce Myself.
My goal is to have it on coffee tables, waiting rooms and health care facilities around the world.
During this time I am sharing my stories with different organizations to bring awareness about screening, wellness and my unconventional journey and through my website www.HelloCancer.org.
