What is a Luminaria?
The Luminaria is a heartfelt tradition at Relay For Life, honouring loved ones who are bravely surviving cancer and remembering those we’ve lost. Whether it’s a parent, sibling, friend, or neighbour, cancer touches us all. As night falls, the Relay track is illuminated by hundreds of glowing Luminaria bags, creating a moving Ceremony of Light that symbolises hope, courage, and our shared commitment to the fight against cancer.
